Week 25: More like Top four albums. I coudn’t think of a fifth CD that I was listening to. =(

1. The Slider by T. Rex
Just got this album not too long ago and it is great. I love T. Rex. My experience with T. Rex before this was limited to the Electric Warrior album. Good shit.

2. Outside by David Bowie
Bowie’s 1995 venture into the NIN-dominated world of industrial rock. An extremely good album. I hope the sequel to it, Contamination, will be made. Highlights include the title track, “Heart’s Filthy Lesson,” “Hallo Spaceboy,” “Strangers When We Meet” and Mike Garson’s masterful jazzy piano.

3. Famous Blue Raincoat by Jennifer Warnes
A Leonard Cohen tribute album that features a number of very special guests, including blues guitar virtuosos Stevie Ray Vaughn and Robben Ford on “First We Take Manhattan” and Leonard himself doing guest vocals on “Joan of Arc.”

4. Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea by PJ Harvey
Not as good as To Bring You My Love, but still. It’s PJ Harvey. You can’t go wrong with her.
